Our Veterinarian

MT
Dr. Miki Travis

DVM

Dr. Miki Travis has been at North Hills Animal Hospital for two years, bringing compassion and dedication to every patient. She finds immense fulfillment in seeing sick pets recover, knowing she played a role in their healing. She takes pride in educating clients, helping them become the best pet parents possible, and fostering long-term relationships with both pets and their owners.

Outside of work, Dr. Travis enjoys reading, thrifting, and serving in the youth ministry at her church. She also cherishes time spent napping with her five dogs and four cats.

One of Dr. Travis’s top pet care tips is maintaining proper litterbox hygiene for cats. She recommends having one litterbox per cat in the household—plus one extra—and scooping them daily. Since inappropriate elimination can signal anxiety or health concerns, she encourages pet parents to monitor their cat’s habits closely.

SAC
Dr. Scott Campbell
DVM

Dr. Scott Campbell has been part of the North Hills Animal Hospital family since February 2015. He has a strong passion for surgery and finds great fulfillment in improving the lives of pets through hands-on care and advanced procedures.

Outside of his work, Dr. Campbell enjoys spending time outdoors hunting, fishing, or scuba diving. He’s also an avid Razorbacks fan and rarely misses a football, basketball, or baseball game.

Dr. Campbell emphasizes the importance of keeping pets cool and hydrated during the summer months, especially in Arkansas, by ensuring they always have access to fresh water and plenty of shade or air conditioning. He encourages pet owners to stay proactive between visits, including staying consistent with heartworm and flea/tick prevention. Feeding a high-quality pet food (and avoiding human food!) is another key part of keeping pets healthy year-round.

STM
Dr. Sydney Matthews
DVM

Dr. Sydney Matthews earned her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Tuskegee University College of Veterinary Medicine, and brings a well-rounded background in wellness, surgical, and dental veterinary care. Dr. Matthews is passionate about client communication and education, building strong bonds with clients and their pets, and ensuring each animal receives the highest quality of care.

Outside of her professional life, Dr. Matthews enjoys spending quality time with her beloved dog, Bandit. Together, they enjoy hiking, swimming, and visiting Starbucks for Pup Cups. Dr. Matthews also has a rich background in sports and music; she was a collegiate golfer and swimmer, and played the cello in a youth orchestra. Despite her many talents, her favorite piece to play remains “Twinkle Twinkle Little Star.”
